  1. What is the downtime for Botox®/filler?

Botox®: We ask that for four hours you do not rub, touch or scratch your face, lie down, sleep or workout after which you may go about your day as usual.

Fillers: Avoid exercise or extremes of heat or cold, such as a hot tub or skiing, for up to two weeks but more based on the amount of inflammation you experience.

  2. How long does Botox®/filler last?

Botox®: The protein is degraded within three to four months. The effects of a treatment can last longer (up to six months), because once you stop frowning, you forget how.

Filler: The effects last six months to a year depending on where it’s injected. Lip enhancements tend to need retreatment at six months, whereas volume effects last longer. This varies depending on your metabolism of this product as well as mechanical factors.

Yes, the only medications that we will not treat you while you are taking are Accutane and Retin-A. Our laser technician will review all of the precautions prior to any treatment.

  11. Do I have to stop tweezing/waxing/bleaching before laser hair removal?

It is recommended to stop all other treatments however, you will experience less hair growth in the treated areas and may find the other treatments unnecessary but if needed, you may.

  12. Does laser hair removal hurt?

With any hair removal service, there is always a factor of discomfort. We do use a cooling hand piece, ice and can also write a prescription for a local anesthetic to minimize this discomfort.

  13. Does laser hair removal work on grey or blonde hair?

The laser is drawn to the colour (melanin) in your hair. Grey, white and light blonde hair contains little to no melanin and therefore does not respond to laser hair removal treatments.
